Despensa R is your bulk, organic, and artisanal grocery store located in the heart of Algés. Opened in June 2023, Despensa R was born with the mission of promoting a more sustainable lifestyle, bringing back the traditional concept of bulk shopping in a modern and welcoming environment.

In our store, customers are invited to bring their own packaging to refill and discover the benefits of buying only the amount needed, without disposable packaging, contributing to reducing waste.

Inspired by the principles of the 5 Rs – Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – we strive to offer products that respect the environment and encourage conscious consumption practices. Our goal is to provide a shopping experience that values ​​product quality and provenance, reducing waste and encouraging the reuse of packaging.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Despensa R, you'll find a wide range of local and organic food products, including sourdough/slow-fermentation bread (made to order), kombucha and artisanal ice cream, legumes, nuts, dried fruits, flours, aromatic herbs, spices, cereals, granola, herbs for teas and infusions, freshly ground coffee, and much more. We also offer personal and household hygiene items, all sold in bulk or in sustainable packaging.

We also have a nut butter maker available to customers, allowing them to create their own nut butters on the spot, directly in their container. You can make cashew, almond, hazelnut, chocolate hazelnut, peanut, or any other butter of your choice! Just contact us and we'll help you make your favorite butter!

We also offer special baskets for various occasions, such as Christmas, Easter and other celebratory days, made up of carefully selected products, creating sustainable and delicious gifts.
