Matcha is a powdered green tea of Japanese origin, known for its intense flavor, creamy texture, and numerous health benefits. Rich in antioxidants , especially catechins, it helps fight free radicals, promotes focus, and provides sustained and balanced energy, without the typical caffeine spikes and crashes found in coffee.
In addition, Matcha supports metabolism , helps detoxify the body and can contribute to emotional balance, due to the presence of L-theanine , an amino acid that promotes relaxation without causing drowsiness.
Production and Quality
Our Matcha comes from organically grown plants , free from pesticides, ensuring a rich nutritional profile and authentic flavor. The leaves are shaded before harvesting , intensifying their chlorophyll and amino acid levels. After hand-harvesting, they are carefully ground in stone mills, resulting in an ultra-fine powder with a vibrant green color.
How to Prepare Matcha
- Serving: 1 level teaspoon (about 1 g) - Chashaku | Matcha Spoon – Pantry R
- Water: 70 to 80 ml at 80ºC (do not boil to avoid bitterness)

Preparation method:
- Sift Matcha to avoid lumps.
- Add a little water and mix with a bamboo whisk (chasen) - Chasen | Matcha Whisk – Pantry R
- Add the remaining water and mix well.
- For a Matcha Latte , replace the water with warmed plant-based or cow's milk.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place away from light , preferably in an airtight container to preserve freshness and prevent oxidation.
