This organic, fair-trade coconut milk comes from coconuts harvested by hand with bamboo poles on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. Sixty-two family microfarms have joined forces to cultivate coconuts. Coconut trees grow naturally in untouched, virgin tropical forests. In this pristine natural environment, farmers cultivate a traditional variety of coconut called Taguna Tall. These coconut trees produce fruit for 100 years! Coconut milk is obtained by grinding the coconut meat and adding water. The resulting mixture is filtered and that's it. With no additives, this organic coconut milk has a fat content of 16%.
